There are two type of diabetes , type 1 and 2. Type 1 occurs in children, cant be prevented. Type 2 occurs in adults, can be prevented by good dietary habits, moderating alcohol, avoiding smoking, regular physical activity 1-2 hours, and reducing stress in life.

Mr. Lybrate-user, to control t2 dm you have to start treatment with proper drugs like either oral anti diabetics or insulin or both together depending upon severity of the sugar levels. With out proper modern drugs there is no way of controlling diabetes.

You cannot remove diabetes. You can just control it with medicines and lifestyle modifications. Do daily exercise and eat fresh home-made food which is not deep-fried or oily to keep good health. Also, include ample amounts of fruits and vegetables in your diet and restrict sweets to once a week.
