Hi, 23 year old female here, 5'3, 90 lbs, middle eastern (?). No drinking or smoking. First of all I feel like it's important to note i've been using otrivin for about 2 years every single day, so I don't know if that might be a factor. I've been having this issue for 2 months now where I have so much postnasal drip to the point where I feel like my entire throat is getting clogged. I don't cough but sometimes it feels like it restricts my breathing entirely and I also cannot swallow, it gets really bad especially when I eat something. I am so sick of eating only rice and bursting into tears whenever someone mentions food. I've been to doctors and had a sinus ct and chest x-ray, which I was told both were entirely clean. Doctors said ir might be allergic and sent me home with a flixonase prescription which i've been using since. It only helps slightly even though i've been using it on the highest dose. I've tried nac, made no difference, tried antihistamines like zyrtec, I feel like they made the mucus harder. I try to get as many hot liquids in me as I can. I'm at a complete loss. I can't eat without having a panic attack every time. Please even if you have the slightest idea as to what it could be let me know. Please.

I am female age 31, suffering from pain in right side of my face. I feel the pain is their in upper teeth but sometime it feels it's everywhere in right side of face. I went to dentist and got xray and opg and dentist told me their is no issue in any teeth. And asked me to consult ent. I went to ent doctor near my place and I was treated for neural pain and it did not helped then I was treated for sinus and was asked to get an ct scan done. Today I got my ct scan and it did not show any abnormalities so ent doctor suggested the neural pain medicine again, along with calcium medicine. Below is findings of ct scan: ct of paranasal sinuses & face 3 mm contiguous coronal sections with feed of 8 mm were acquired through paranasal sinuses without intravenous contrast findings: frontal sinuses, both maxillary sinuses, anterior and posterior ethmoidal sinuses on both sides as well as sphenoidal sinuses are normal translucency. No evidence of any air fluid level, polyp or wall erosion is seen. Osteomental complex on both sides appear normal. Nasal septum appears to be deviated towards left side. Pneumatization of right middle turbinate is seen suggestive of concha bullosa. Rest of the visualized face also appear normal. Advice: clinical correlation. Thanks.

Thanks doctor, but consulting a psychiatrist won't help. My main fear is that do we actually have n fowleri amoeba present in water bodies in india, especially underground water. Next can one simply get it my washing face or mere sniffing in a drop while bathing as I found such a concern on quora. My main concern is that even if present in a water body can it go so easily in sinus cavity or one has to force it up like by cleansing sinus, aggressively breathing in or diving/swimming. I had read somewhere that azithromycin is also used to treat it and since once symptoms of pam appear, it is nearly always fatal, I worry using the underground water now, and take the tablets. So does it actually help or I am risking myself for side effects unnecessarily as I also take dilzem cd 120 for hypertension. I know self medication is bad and do not want to take it unless prescribed too. Please just let me know in which situation can the amoeba enter the brain or pose a threat or if in india we don't have this amoeba present in underground water usually as so many people use nal, jet pumps. I had many paid and non paid consultations, I just got a no, it us not caused like that and it is not common in india. Just a bit elaborate reassurance from an experienced doctor will help. And I won't ask queries about this topic again then.
