Hi
as the mri and eega reports are normal it is less likely a seizure activity. Is it a single episode of the loss of consciousness or the multiple episodes? If multiple and frequent need further evaluation.

My son had seizures after his birth for 3 times between 1 month to 6 months and doctor prescribed gardenal and calcium syrup and advised to continue for 3 years morning and evening. After 3 years we stopped medicine and he didn't get any seizures for almost five and half years but all of a sudden recently he got one in the month of april and we went to Dr. and he said it was because of fever not to worry but again in the month of aug he got seizures again and this time we changed Dr. and he took mri of brain and in report it is mentioned suggestive of mesial temporal sclerosis. Eeg we tried many times but my son didn't allow to do he starts crying. His development is very slow still 6 years of age but speech and learning issue. Dr. has advised following medicine for brain development and seizures: neuciti plus nicerbium attentrol lacosam pls advise about the treatment and his overall growth. Why is he so slow in development of we compare him to other 6 year child.

Hello,
the slowness of the child is due to developmental delay either due to hypoxia or inherent brain formation. As you. Have not mentioned any details about his behaviour its difficult to pin point the cause of slow development, but I feel that medicines may not help him and I will tell you why.
Of course he does require lacosam in correct dosage to control his seizures so that he does not have recurrent seizures.
Frankly personally I feel that neuciti plus and nicerbium are not go...more

Hello,
I presume you are doing well with clobazam 10 mg at night. Pls do not change the timing or the dose. There is no chance of it affecting your married life in the current doses. No need to worry about it.

Hi although bhaang is considered safe but in your case it can cause seizures again

Hello,
If the seizures are under control for the last 2 years it is worthwhile to taper off the drugs one by one. Some dependency may be there but first try to stop Clobazam. It has to be tapered down gradually over a period of 2-3 months . I suggest that you decrease 2.5 mg of clobazam every 20 days( complete tapering will take 80 days a bit long tapering but in view of your withdrawl symptoms that will be best after that you can taper Lacosam after consultation
