Was the wound deep? If it's just superficial and scissor was not very unclean then chance of tetanus is very less even otherwise since you have been immunised already with tt 3 months back there is no role for it now.

I noticed a lump on my anal edge in september 2019 and I thought it's normal pimple and I ignored that it'll go away own but it didn't almost 2 months and then I used coconut oil on it. It reduced in size but again. But appeared again and I used coconut oil again its just reducing in size not going away later in lockdown physical activities stopped then I felt itching there and used coconut oil again it helped me to get rid of itching but not that lump. After sometime I used glycerin to get rid iff it but didn't work. Then I went to a doctor she examined and she said this is fungal infection. And she gave me ofloxacin 200 tablets and dermikem oc max ointment to apply there. I used it for 15-20 days but didn't work but that lump was getting bigger that ofloaxin 200 tablets caused me (extreme headache, dizziness, constipation and body pain ). Then I consulted another doctor and she examined and said it's external piles and she gave me anovate ointment to apply and pilon and metrogyl 400 tablets. And asked me to come after 5 days. When I went she gave me cefixime tablets. Twice a day also have sits bath twice a day. And after two days my piles got worst I consulted her again and she said may be I eat some hot thing like garlic onion or ginger but I eat it usually it never got this worst and painful. Before having medicines I never experienced pain there and then she prescribed me pile tablets of himalaya for 30 days and a cream name smuth to apply thereafter having sits bath and a pain killer if I feel pain it's been 5 days that worst blood clot swelling isn't going away. Please help me to know about it better and what to do further. A ointmentton.

You definitely have a hemorrhoid. It will hurt even more if you are constipated and when you strain while defecating. Hence try to increase the fiber in your diet and you can also use isabgol powder if you have constipation. Avoid breads and maida based products as they increase constipation. Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet. The pain will automatically reduce when the clot dissolves which takes a minimum of two weeks provided there is no strain. Continue sitz bath and smuth cream as ...more

Hello Mr. lybrate-user,
your stress thallium report says "no scan evidence of stress-induced reversible ischemia" -,it means even under stress there was no compromise in the blood supply in the area supplied by the blocked artery (rca 80%) so no angioplasty is needed now. You should just continue with the medication advice and follow good lifestyle -- regular exercise/ daily 2-3 km walking- restricted -low-fat diet - and follow up with your doctor if any new symptoms arise. Tetanus is not a contagious disease. A person usually becomes infected with tetanus when dirt enters a wound or cut, but other instances can also allow the bacteria to enter the body. Let's have a detailed discussion for better advice and healthy lifestyle.

In an ideal scenario, the answer would be no. But its always better to get a shot now for a confirmed protection.

It should be applied externally on the hemorrhoid or fissure. It will be better to apply it and reapply it after emptying your bowels. It can be applied before bed. If you found my answer helpful, please leave a like/ thanks. Thank you.

Tetanus vaccine will be effective for 10 years. If your wound is minor or uncontaminated, if you have taken booster within past 10 years then re-vaccination is not required now. Still if you want you can take. There are no major adverse effects with tt.
