Scalp MicroPigmentation For Women - Who Are Eligible For It?

Men do not happen to be the only ones who suffer from the problem of hair fall and baldness. Women can also go on to lose their hair as a result of different events all through their lives. The causes could range from stress, surgery to childbirth and alopecia, which might lead towards women losing their hair.

The Procedure of Scalp MicroPigmentation for women has become a genuinely fast-growing service that is offered by some dermatology clinics. The manner in which women usually lose their hair differ from the way men lose theirs and thus this difference in a quite significant manner, can change the available options.

Before going ahead with the treatment methods, let us first take a look at the key difference between the loss of hairs for men and women:

The Main Difference

When Scalp MicroPigmentation is received by a man, the main purpose is to reproduce each and every hair follicle that has been shaven individually. On the other hand, when a woman receives the same treatment, the primary intention is to bring forth reduction in the contrast between the hair and the scalp that is bare.

This difference is important to be considered as the whole approach of the approach taken by the technicians is changed.

When a man suffers hair loss, usually he goes bald by following a set pattern that also includes his hairline at the front getting receded, which leads to thinning of the crown. Whereas, during a woman’s loss of hair, she tends to go through diffuse thinning.

So, due to this, where on one hand, a man has the gradual onset of total baldness, on the other hand, a woman loses her hair in an even manner across her entire scalp, hence, having less probability of going completely bald.

As the frontal hairline stays intact for women, so it enables the dermatologists to use micro pigmentation in an extremely effective manner.

How Does the Process of Scalp MicroPigmentation Work for Women?

  • The technician or dermatologist would work through the scalp by getting the hair parted section by section on a repeated basis
  • They do so by the application of pigment to the scalp in a usual manner
  • The detailed manner is not important just like the matters related to blending
  • It is important for the technician to ensure that the pigment, which he or she is using, do not change its colour
  • The result is an effectively shaded scalp.

Can Every Woman Undergo Scalp MicroPigmentation?

Not each and every woman can receive this treatment of Scalp MicroPigmentation. Ideally, the procedure tends to work much better on brunettes and those having darker redheads.

What Is Scalp Micro Pigmentation?

Micro Scalp Pigmentation is also known as Scalp Micro Pigmentation is a great new solution for anyone who suffers from baldness. This procedure is ideal for people wanting a long term hair loss solution without any surgery or scars.

MSP is a method of depositing pigment into the dermal layer of the skin on the scalp, which replicates hair follicles. When viewed from a few inches or further away, the pigment dots appear as hair follicles and the client has the appearance of a full head of recently shaved hair. MSP is colour matched on a grayscale for most clients and can be used to treat clients of very pale complexion to extremely dark skin tones. Pigment changes also allow treatment for clients with red hair, blonde hair or older clients who have much grey or white hair. A Scalp Micro Pigmentation procedure is also much more cost-effective than normal hair transplant procedures. SMP companies or MSP companies offer there same services and professionalism even though the prices are lower for the procedure.

I am well aware that many people are a bit sceptical about having this Scalp Micro Pigmentation procedure done as it's a fairly new hair restoration solution/procedure on the market and one must be sure that the procedure is going to be done properly and professionally by people who know really what they are doing. This is why you need to be sure about the company that you choose for this procedure. Usually, a Scalp Pigmentation test procedure is done before the main procedure which will be applied to a very small area of your scalp. After this test procedure, you can see a photograph of this area and have it magnified many times so that you can see exactly how good the results really are with your own eyes. Please note that this process is nothing like a hair tattoo.

The Scalp micro pigmentation procedure has a very natural-looking effect due to the fact that smaller specialized needles and specialized pigment inks are used. This enables the matching of human hair pigments and doesn't change colour over time. You will also be able to see how your natural hair colour matches with the pigment colour which is applied for the Scalp Micro Pigmentation. Also the chosen Micro Scalp Pigment colour is as close a match as possible to your natural hair colour which will, as a result, be almost undetectable and look very natural. You have nothing to lose by trying this out.

Tried And Tested Tips For Itchy Scalp Treatments!

A relentlessly itchy and bleeding scalp is an infection that is exotic and wild enough to drive anyone suffering from it to the brink of suicide. I'm not exaggerating but if you're experiencing this hell of a condition and no doctor or dermatologist has been able to cure you, this article is the right one for you. You are not alone!

Itchy scalp treatments and causes:

The causes of a relentless itchy bleeding scalp are due to scalp infections brought about by contamination with an infected person or by not taking care of your hair or scalp. It can also be brought about by accidental damage to the scalp through the use of different kinds of harsh hair products. Secondly, your itchy scalp can be caused by hormonal imbalances resulting from a combination of stress and or diet.

If you are suffering from itchy scalp, sore scalp or flaky dry scalp with redness and rashes that drive you crazy then you may end up scalp picking. Do you constantly find yourself picking at & scratching? If yes, your instinct might be to immediately hunt for an effective product from the store shelf or from your doctor. However, most of these itchy scalp treatments that promise relief from dry scalp seem very attractive until you start reading the fine prints.

Many products in the market today are not the best choices to use for itchy scalp treatment. Here are three reasons why:

1. An itchy scalp treatment should never involve the use of hazardous or chemically engineered substances especially, Sodium Lauryl sulphate & silicon conditioners. Such type of treatments should never include any unnecessary ingredients.

2. A perfect itchy scalp treatment should never contain anything else other than natural ingredients.

3. Most people expect a shampoo to foam up nicely, smell good, take all the so-called "nasty" oiliness out of their hair, and make their hair feel squeaky-clean. Think about it! If your shampoo didn't foam up, smell good, or leave your hair feeling squeaky-clean, would you trust it? Well, 90% of commercial shampoos achieve the foaming effect to strip off not only dirt and grime but also those valuable natural oils that your scalp truly needs.

Yes, indeed your scalp needs oil. There is no other better natural protection for your head area. Your scalp needs to maintain a natural pH balance that if disturbed, it can develop into a dry, itchy irritated scalp. Good news; there are many natural remedies you can use with moisturizing oils and natural powerful alternatives. These products (i.e. Jojoba oil tea, tree, lavender, lemon and basil) heal & reverse any scalp problem by restoring balance safely. Oils act as an excellent scalp moisturizer, which helps to rebalance sebum. It is a promising itchy scalp treatment against dandruff and even lice. It also enlivens the scalp and brings the cells & follicles to attention.

Lastly, neem can also prove as a wonderful itching scalp treatment. Neem extracts and neem oils remove redness and itching when applied directly to your scalp. It's also a great skin conditioner above all else.

Pityriasis Amiantacea - How To Diagnose It?

Pityriasis amiantacea is a disorder of the scalp. Some of the visible signs of this condition include adherent, silver, thick scales. The scales resemble the color of the asbestos and often surrounds the tufts of hair. While the condition is manageable, care should be taken to manage this condition right from its inception. Here is a brief overview of this scalp condition.

Origin of Pityriasis Amiantacea:
Pityriasis Amiantacea is inflammatory in nature. It comes from the seborrheic and psoriasis dermatitis spectrum. Experts are of the view that this condition is a result of the exaggerated response of the body to a primary condition of the scalp. Earlier studies have suggested that there is a possibility that Pityriasis Amiantacea may have originated from lichen planus, pyogenic infection and superficial fungal. In most of the cases, it has been witnessed that fungus has a close relation to this condition.

Exposure of Pityriasis Amiantacea and its diagnosis:
This condition has low exposure among females. It is mostly observed among, young adults, children, and adolescents. The diagnosis is done clinically. A specialist might prescribe dermoscopy to rule out other conditions of the scalp. If the result is positive, the scaling will reveal a diffused yellowish or whitish pattern. While the condition is local, it has all the possibilities to spread to other hairy parts of the body. Some experts are of the view that Pityriasis Amiantacea has a close association with temporary alopecia. While histopathology is not prescribed by most doctors, however, biopsy of the scalp is suggested in many cases.

Does Pityriasis Amiantacea result in hair loss?
The answer is yes. As a result of the scaly crust, the encased hair tends to fall. This being said, it is entirely a reversible condition. The hair comes back in 9 out of 10 cases. Medical ointments and antibiotic shampoo can help to grow back the lost hair. Apart from this, home-made protein solutions can help in the regeneration of the hair and get back the original color of the hair.

Treatment options:
This is a treatable condition that might take some time for a complete cure. It involves the keratolytic and tropical anti-inflammatory treatment. This is accompanied with salicylic ointment and topical corticosteroids. A tropical mineral oil is often prescribed by doctors to ensure that the adherent scales are removed. Some doctors might also suggest a clobetasol propionate shampoo. Even ketoconazole and silver sulfadiazine is helpful to get rid of the scales. If in case the infection is accompanied with Staphylococcus aureus, antibiotics are prescribed to ensure that the condition does not turn from bad to worse. Systematic therapies are suggested if this condition is accompanied by an underlying condition such as psoriasis.

Dry Scalp - Can Ayurveda Resolve It?

Dry scalp is a distressing condition which is characterized by persistent irritation on the scalp. There is a constant sensation of itching, which can also be accompanied by chronic dandruff and hair loss. Causes of dry scalp are numerous of which use of harsh chemical products on hair is the most commonly implicated cause. Dehydration of the body or excessive washing of hair, skin infections affecting the scalp can also cause a dry scalp.

Ayurvedic remedies are beneficial in treating a dry scalp condition. Most commonly used effective remedies according to the Ayurvedic science are as follows:

1. Coconut oil – This oil has various applications in treating a variety of skin diseases. It moisturizes the scalp and helps to hydrate it. Also, its antibacterial properties help to reduce the risk of skin infections. Coconut oil can be applied directly on hair 30 to 40 minutes prior to shampooing and then washed with a mild shampoo. It nourishes the scalp and also makes the hair shiny.

2. Tea tree oil – This oil has various benefits, since it acts as an antibiotic and antifungal. It helps to relieve the symptoms of dry scalp by removing the excess oil off. Since it is an essential oil, tea tree oil should be used with a carrier oil like coconut oil. Massaging it on the scalp and leaving it for 10-15 minutes is recommended.

3. Aloe vera – This plant has various medicinal benefits and it is used for treating numerous skin and hair infections. It is an anti-inflammatory agent, which helps to soothe irritated skin or itching. It is also an excellent moisturizer that hydrates the scalp. Pure extract of Aloevera can be applied directly on the scalp and left for some time, after which it can be rinsed.

4. Olive oil – Olive has a moisturizing effect on the scalp. It nourishes the dehydrated scalp and helps to cure the dryness. It can be applied few minutes before a bath and cleansed with a mild shampoo.

5. Yogurt – It has an exfoliating effect on the scalp. It soothes the irritated and dried skin on the scalp and hydrates it. It is applied 30 minutes before washing hair.

6. Egg – The white portion of an egg is rich in proteins and this protein content is beneficial for improving the overall health of the scalp. Egg white should be applied on the scalp 10 minutes before washing. It should be cleaned thoroughly since it can leave odor on the scalp if not washed off adequately.

Treatment of the dry scalp with the use of these home remedies is effective and risk free. To prevent an allergic reaction, a patch test should be done on the skin before using any product on the scalp. Dry scalp should be treated at the earliest, since constant dryness can cause scratching and even lead to hair loss. If the dryness of scalp is accompanied with a fungal infection, then anti-fungal should be taken as prescribed by the physician.

5 Natural & Best Ways To Treat Scalp Acne!

Have you ever tried out a new hair shampoo, gel, or serum only to be left with a head full of pimples?

While your scalp is an awkward place to get acne, it’s not unheard of. But there are many reasons beyond product irritation that have led to the development of bumps.

The scalp can be harder to treat topically because the hair gets in the way. The good news is that scalp acne is often much less noticeable because the hair covers its appearance.

Many people just let them be. While lesions on the scalp can tend to be tender and sore, they usually clear on their own within a week or so.

Here are a few remedies to get rid of Scalp Acne!

1. Nutmeg – Grind some nutmeg and mix it with 4-5 tablespoons of milk. Leave it on for 30-45 minutes. Wash it off with a mild shampoo.

2. Garlic – While it may leave your hair not smelling so good, they are very effective. Just grind some garlic cloves and apply on the affected areas. Keep it for 30 minutes and wash it off with a mild shampoo.

3. Tea tree oil – Tea tree oil has great anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Mix some tea tree oil with olive oil and massage it on your scalp. Wash off with a mild shampoo.

4. Neem – The best tree with the maximum anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. Wash some neem leaves properly. Boil them for 30 minutes. Then strain the water in a bowl and use the leaves to make a paste. Apply this paste to your scalp. Wash off with water or a mild shampoo.

5. Lemon – Applying lemon juice is one of the best home remedies for treating scalp pimple. Lemon juice cleans the scalp, treats acne and pimple breakouts.

6. Papaya – Grind a slice of papaya with its seeds and skin. You could also mash ripe papaya to make a thick paste of it. Apply it on the scalp pimple to get instant relief from it.
