Root canal therapy (RCT) followed by a crown is the most common mode of treatment for severely decayed teeth. However, this is not devoid of failure. In another case, if a tooth could not be salvaged by RCT, then extraction followed by a bridge (replacing the removed tooth with support from adjacent healthy teeth) became the next best option.

Hello, it totally depends on the extent of fracture. If the dentist is opting for a crown that clearly gives an idea that tje fracture can be managed with a restoration and than a crown. And if the tooth is not mobile it is strong crown is the option. So go ahead

Hi. lybrate-user. Expense of rct depends. Which tooth is involved, it's repeat rct or new. It's all depend .n hospital doesn't do rct. Endodontist do root canal treatment who are specialists for it. Better to go for endodontist not for hospital thanks.

Yes caping is must after every rct of any teeth so that teeth will have less chance of fracture due to heavy masticatory forces .because after treatment tooth become brittle due to non vitality. N second if uhave un cleaned teeth due to poor oral hygiene ,u shuld go for cleaning. So that your teeth and gums will free of disease.

Rct is the treatment for removing caries or bacteria which has reached pulpal tissue. If your treatment was proper, then there are no chances of complications, rct is completely safe. I suggest you get it capped.
