I suspect that the adolescent issues with regard to hormones may be affecting your ability to concentrate and have interest in your studies too. When the hormones play up, it lasts for a period of close to two years and during that time you could be influenced by three signs directly impacted by the chemical: you will tend to become aggressive and rebellious, you will become sexually active, and you will have acne and pimple problems. The hormonal imbalances may not only impact your memory becau...more

Stimulants such as methylphenidate and amphetamines are the most common type of medication used for treating adhd. Although it may seem counterintuitive to treat hyperactivity with a stimulant, these medications actually activate brain circuits that support attention and focused behavior, thus reducing hyperactivity. In addition, a few non-stimulant medications, such as atomoxetine, guanfacine, and clonidine, are also available. For many children, adhd medications reduce hyperactivity and impuls...more

I am a 22 year old male. I have pain in my neck, eyes, ear. My hands shiver a lot. And lately I have also beginning to stammer and fumble a lot. My speech is also slurred. There is pain in my calf when a do any small activity. I have gone to various doctors over the past 2 years, but none of them have cured my symptoms. Some doc said I need a psychiatrist. So I m going to a few psychiatrists and all the psychiatrist tell me that I have different disease. Some doc say I have anxiety disorder, some say I have adhd, some say I have double depression, some say I have compulsive disorder. I m taking a lot of antidepressant over the last 1 year but still no positive effect has been there. I m very stressed now. And I am feeling hopeless and helpless. No doctor can cure my disease or even find out what I am suffering from. I have a feeling doctors are just telling me wrong things and making money. Over the last 2 years I have spent alot of money for my treatment. But no improvement. What should I do?

I do not have complete symptoms to come to a diagnosis from the brief you have given so far. It will certainly help to meet with a counselor too, or a clinical psychologist who could conduct some psychological tests and help to come to a diagnosis. Apart from that, do regular counseling for the tension you are in currently. Through that interaction, the professional can learn a lot more and give you specific help based on a lot of data. I hope your parents accompany you to fill in information fr...more

Hello! I am 28 years old. Since a year and a half ago i’ve been having problems with my eyes: rapid fatigue (after 10-15 minutes) when using a computer or smartphone, redness of the eyes. Each time, more and more vessels expand and do not constrict to the previous normal state. I’ve been around almost all the major clinics in the city, doctors diagnosed me with dry eye syndrome first. But the treatment wasn’t effective (moisturizing drops, eyelid massage). Half a year ago another doctor diagnosed me the following diagnosis: macular degeneration, retinal angiospasm, neuroepithelial keratopathy. The new treatment only slightly and temporarily relieves the condition. (a course of retinalamine was prescribed in the right eye and courses of flucon drops (fluorometholone) every 2-3 months, as well as dexpanthenol and moisturizing drops). Now I still can't work properly. My right eye does’t see very well far away as before, especially at night. (i noticed that after several injections of retinalamine). Could you tell me please how these diseases are treated? Is it possible to prevent worsening of the vision and follow a normal lifestyle with such a diagnosis? (work using computer for up to 6-8 hours a day without severe discomfort and redness). Where is it possible to get treatment? Od virus = 0.9 sph -0.50 cyl +0.50 os virus = 1,0 sph -0.00 cyl +0.25.
