Smoking can affect your mouth, throat, lungs, heart, stomach and brain in many ways. Cancer is one among the potential diseases smoking can cause. The best method is to leave it and continue with your will power. There are other methods like Nicotine Replacement therapy and pharmacotherapy combined. Please seek professional help if you are not able to quit by yourself.
You will benefit for counseling which is aimed at helping you quit. Some people benefit from nicotine replacement which is available with pharmacy.
Try to keep a diary and more down the number of cigarettes to smoke everyday. Set a quit date. Keep yourself busy. If you get a craving try to distract yourself. How this helps Regards.

People with certain mental health conditions such as schizophrenia and obsessive-compulsive disorder may develop pica as a coping mechanism. Some people may even enjoy and crave the textures or flavors of certain nonfood items. In some cultures, eating clay is an accepted behavior. But not chalk. I suggest you to consult a psychologist. Apart from taking symptomatic treatment I will suggest you to take injection vitcofol 2cc intramuscularly every alternate days for five pricks over the buttocks through a health professional and get an Xray chest done
