Hello. Ptosis has a number of different causes- the myogenic (due to muscle problem) and neurogenic (due to nerves) are more suited to your case. Given your age, it is absolutely necessary to get an urgent consultation and a detailed examination to rule out a more serious systemic involvement first. Revisit the surgeon again, let him assess again. It might be because of the suture that is irritating the eye.

Glaucoma is a lifelong eye condition and requires frequent eye check ups to monitor the intra ocular pressure, optic nerve damage and visual field changes. You should consult a nearby eye specialist regularly and take treatment properly as advised, since the damage caused by glaucoma is irreversible and eventually causes blindness. I hope this helps.
