Hi, I can understand your concern for your brother. He must be going through the break up depression. De does need to be handled by professional psychologist and if needed for medical treatment. Many times counseling itself helps though it takes a little long. Family support is the most important key factor.

Hi lybrate-user I think you should contact your doctor for these changes. 5 mg of axepta may not really help with anything. You should reduce risperidone further if you want but continue the axepta. Once again, refer to and trust your childâs doctor on this one

2. Reduce body weight if over wt3. No smoking/ tobacco/drugs/ avoid pollution
4. Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. Less sugar, potato, rice. Less salt.
5. 30 mts brisk walk daily 6. Deep breathing exercise for 10 mts daily
7. Meditation daily for 10 mts. 6-8 hrs of sleep at night

risdone mt 0.5 mg is sub-optimal dose even in geriatric population, to treat schizophrenia. The minimum effective dose is around 2 mg per day. So, please discuss with your psychiatrist to consider increasing dose of same.
