I was diagnosed with para cardiac bronchiectasis in which my pulmonologist and cvts told that left lower lobe is affected. Thing now is I use to suffer heavy cough wid phlegm or mucus, and I was not able to turn around and sleep. Now from past 3 months I have no cough 0% n no mucus too. Where is it leading r what might be reason.

If you are in treatment and that is the reason you have no cough and mucus anymore then it means that you are responding well to the treatment. Or the other reason is that you may have a collapse of the lower lobe completely and obstruction of mucus. Get a new HRCT done to help.

Hi. I was hospitalized last month for dengue and acute bronchitis now I am suffering from sore throat or you can say irritation in throat and runny nose leading to often sneezing. I get this every month and now I really feel helpless as doctor said it's also because of low immunity. The last time when my throat was infected I visited ent doctor and he gave me few medicines [medicine name Saral-d with content Diclofenac potassium & serratiopeptidase tablets, medicine Cloff 250 with content Clarithromycin tablets IP, medicine Lukotas HD with content levocetirizine Montelukast & (SR) ambroxol hydrochloride tablets and lastly medicine Acebrobic with content acebrophylline capsules 100 my)] and also explained me some do's and don'ts. It was cured completely by these medicines I found these very helpful but again I'm getting throat pain and runny nose. Please suggest me some medicines which I can take whenever I get these symptoms as I hate going to the doctor again and again. What do I do I'm really fed up of taking medicines almost every month also I sometimes try home remedies which hardly helps for me?

To treat cough of my son 5 and 1/2 months, our doctor prescribed some antibiotics. Whereas I am of the opinion that antibiotics should be avoided, can I use them without any hesitation? I feel my son is too young for the antibiotics. Somebody please guide me.

Antibiotics should be avoided ifl the infection is mild. If antibiotics are given regularly it has side effects. Homoeopathy is a good option. It treats without side effects so safer.

It will not get worse if she takes adequate treatment. If the doctor has diagnosed cough variant asthma he/she would have put her on inhalers too. Take them regularly even when she is asymptomatic. She will recover with regular treatment and check ups.

My mother is 74 years old. She is diabetic for last 20 years. She has very minor effect of ulcer on the mouth of food pipe. She has lot of acidity. Her current problem is that in a day 4-5 times she drastically coughing. However no cough comes out. When she is coughing her back, ribs all start shaking. This is just to indicate the intensity of coughing. She has little burning in chest too. Is she coughing due to any allergy or due to acidity?

I am 32 years old male, I was sick from pas 6 month taken lots of medicine then finally done a ct scan it showing segmental bronchiectasis changes are seen in lingula. Mild dilatation of bronchiole is also seen in right middle lobe. Small calcified nodule is seen in posterior segment of left upper lobe. Doctor given the medicine little relief but still paining sometime in front left chest and back chest side. And I want to know is there is any serious issue and it is curable by medicine. Pls revert.

I had acute bronchitis in june 2016 which went away but after which I started getting feeling of mucus in my throat every time which I had to cough out intentionally. I have tried every possible doctor from ent, gp,family doctor and pulmonologist and each of them thinks its nothing serious. My pulmonolgist told me its allergy and I have pnd. But his medicine did not have any effect. Earlier the mucus was clear but nowadays during the days I get thick yellow mucus and clear all day. I do smoke moderately and sometimes marijuana. I want to get rid of this problem please help me! Currently I am eating a homeopathic medicine.
