Surgery is not a right choice for pilonidal sinus for the reason of recurrence of problem after surgery (in about 20-25% cases pilonidal sinus recurs after surgery). However pilonidal sinus can be completely treated by graded ksharsutra treatment. No hospitalization or bed rest is required. The key is local hygine. Cleaning with any normal soap will do especially after gyming.
