It usually takes 2- 3 weeks complete resolution after surgery, but one can start there routine activities after 1- 1.5 weeks after surgery. If you have blurring, you should get it examined first to know cause (whether due to post op medicine or some other cause). Also with the latest procedures used for cataract surgery, recovery time is reduced drastically.

Most of the ophalmologist provide booklet containing what to do & what not to do after surgery .In short you have to remember two things ,ist put all the drops on time as advised & save your operated eye from blunt injury ,2nd most important thing you have to remember that any increase in redness ,diminition of vision, sudden increase in pain in operated eye is Sign of serious complications &you should report to operating surgeon immediately.

If you are having cataract ,you should go for phaco-emulsification with foldable lens (acryosof IQ ),you can have distance vision 6/5 without glass if properly lens power calculated before surgery. LASIK is not advisable once you are above 40 years old & you are having cataract also, with regards.
