Rule out pregnancy
if its negative then, it can be because of hormonal imbalance. Get your thyroid profile, cbc, fsh, prolactin, blood sugar fasting checked from some lab.
If everything is normal then do an ultrasound of abdomen.

Are you sexually active, if so then do urine pregnancy test. Were your periods regular before this?
It can be because of hormonal imbalance. Get your thyroid profile, cbc, fsh, prolactin, blood sugar fasting checked from some lab.

False negatives are more common than false positive for urine test for pregnancy and hormones used for pcod can cause hormonal imbalances. Take proper medication.

Discoloration of the skin is not a symptom of pcos, per se. However, women with pco who develop insulin resistance (a precursor to diabetes) can develop acanthosis nigricans. This is a darkening of the skin that look like black or purplish velvet texture in the underarm and collar areas.
