Recurrent dislocation of knee
patellar dislocation occurs when the knee cap slides out of the trochlea. When dislocation of the patella occurs on more than one occasion, it is referred to as recurrent patellar dislocation. The risk of further dislocation increases to almost 70% to 80% after two episodes of dislocation.

Dear , I am Dr. Saseendar, specialist orthopaedic surgeon from chennai. Where exactly in the knee is your pain? is it on the knee cap in front of your knee? or is it below the knee cap?
do you have pain during playing or when you kick a ball or run? I suspect it is a strain on your patella or your patellar tendon. Kindly let me know the details. Since the pain has been there for so long, it is advisable to get x rays for your knee.

Hi
the knee is the largest weight-bearing joint in the body and takes significant stress when an individual walks, runs, or plays sports. Pain with bending the knee is a sign of injury or damage within the joint like arthritis, patellar tendonitis. Etc.
Visit physiotherapist for diagnosis and treatment or consult me via lybrate.
Best wishes.

Dear user. Jumpers knee or patellar tendonitis is an overuse injury that results in pain at the front of the knee, localised at a point towards the bottom of the kneecap. Repetitive strain from too much running or jumping causes inflammation or degeneration of the patella tendon. Please consult a bone specialist for treatment and take rest for a month. Take care.
