You are absolutely right
this syndrome is known as snapping syndrome and can be due to tightness of tendon called pyriformis
gradual stretching exercises related to this muscle with the help of physiotherapist should do the trick
unfortunately other than physiotherapy, surgery is the only other line of management.

Hi
For back pain you can take 8 sessions of S.W.D and I.F.T followed by flexion exercise of back and for ankle do streching of calf muscles followed by contrast bath, consult physiotherapist for same.

May be a case of normal strainful patellar tendinitis.
Take rest for few days. Take warm compression and use knee cap during walking. After that if pain persist, go through a XRAY and take orthopedic consultation.
