Every medicine has some or other side effect. It depends on what benefit you obtain vis a vis the side effects. Pregabalin is regularly prescribed in lumbar canal stenosis and had a good track record. Oxcarbamezepine is infrequently used, in comparison in lumbar canal stenosis cases. Both can be used and the predominant side effects of both is sedation. They can be started and stopped if side effects are bothersome.

Softly tense the neck muscles.
Hold this for 5 seconds.
Return your head to its center position.
Push your head back with the chin held high, and hold for 5 seconds.
Carry out 5 repetitions.
2. Neck tilt
tilt your head forward so that the chin touches the chest.
