Osteoarthritis is an irreversible process. Long term medication is not advised. Life style modification (avoiding squatting, cross leg sitting, stair climbing) and use of cane helps. Give here paracetamol for pain and start vitamin d therapy. Hope this helps.

You re doing the best exercise for osteoarthritis. Increase the time. Swimming, static quads, ankle pump. Active straight leg raises. Hip abduction and abdominal strenghtening exercises. You can refer a physio for same. Exercise is the only thing thats gonna help. Medicines are temprory.

In my opinion radio frequency should be reserved for old patients who are not fit for surgery. It works by ablating the nerves which although will give pain relief, has a potential of aggravating the arthritic process (neuropathic joint). Lubricant injection, on the other hand is a safer option.

Ra is not curable but totally controllable. If you remain on optimum medicines with well controlled disease then it shouldn't progress. If you are not on adequate therapy, your joint continues to swell, then it can damage your joints.
