This is a progressive disorder. Please let me know which particular joints are involved and then specific advise for each joint can be given as how to prevent the progression. There are certain drugs which do help in reducing the degenerative process.

Regards Lybrate user. I empathize your concern. One needs to understand about osteoarthritis to better be able to manage the disorder. Osteoarthritis refers to degeneration or wear and tear of the joint's cartilage (cushion system that is present over the bone). One needs to remember that this disorder, does not occur in few days. Hi lybrate-user, the osteoarthritis is an age related degenerative changes. Medicine or oil application will not help them. Regular exercises are required to prevent further degeneration and keep the muscle strong to do her daily routine.
