In order that he is able to take his food, it is advisable to mix the food (as cooked) properly and churn it to almost liquid form so that he can take the same with ease without requiring to strain his mouth. Additionally, nutritional supplements, preferably as shakes, can be given too on a daily basis to make up for loss in nutrition, if any. For pains, if any, he can gargle with a suitable mouthwash (germicidal/ antiseptic) & apply a pain...more

Hi Mr. lybrate-user
T4N1 oral cancer is a definite indication for radiation. The lypmh nodes you are mentioning in CT scan may be just reactive and not malignant. Please do not worry! Subcentimeter lymph nodes are usually not cancerous. Good Luck!

Dear sir, oral cavity mean oral part of tongue, floor of mouth, buccal mucosa, hard palate etc. They are primarily treated by surgery. Further they may be given radiation therapy, chemotherapy etc depending on histopathological reports. Cure rates depends on initial stage of presentation, earlier the disease better are the cure rates.
Chemotherapy are the medicine given either intravenously or orally used to kill cancer cells.
