Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the query. Whichever insulin one may take there is no need to take any form of "glucose" to avoid "hypoglycemia" because if you are taking properly calculated insulin dosage then there will be no hypoglycemia. But if it does occur then taking a small amount of sugar or a candy can help overcome the same.
The insulin dosage needs to be based on both fasting and pp glucose levels. Plus when fasting level is above 140 mg, then your night dosage needs...more

Hello, greetings from your ayurveda wellness coach.
Short-term use: multivitamins are often used for short periods to address specific nutrient deficiencies or to provide a boost during times of increased need, such as recovery from illness or surgery. In these cases, they may be used for a few weeks to a few months until the deficiency is corrected or the specific health goal is achieved.
Long-term use: some individuals may require long-term or even lifelong use of multivitamins. This i...more

Yes there are concerns regarding your report as your triglycerides and total cholesterol levels are spiking high. I would like to know details of the other risk factors associated by a one on one consult over text or video. Have you given your empty stomach? If not than these values are concerning as high cholesterol and triglycerides increases the risk of deposition in various arteries of heart, aorta, kidneys etc. These could decrease your life expectancy and cause early death.

Dear lybrate-user,
all multivitamins are available otc without prescription.
I assume you tested for vitamin b12 and vitamin d.
If your levels were found low, you can either go for capsule form or opt for injection route.
Vitamin d in particular is better if taken via injection as vitamin d capsules tend to cause side effects.
Vitamin b12 capsules, however, is easy on the stomach. You can opt for neurobion forte.
Important thing to remember, vitamin b12 and d are fat solu...more

Yes you can take it. There is very less quantity of vitamin d3 in shell cal tablet just to supplement calcium absorption and function but not for curing vit d deficiency. If you are taking more than 2 times a day a slight modification in the dose could be done.

Dear lybrate-user, at your age you should be eating 3 large meals viz breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Vitamin b12 is best obtained from animal sources. So if you are vegetarian, must consume dairy products like ghee, curd.
You must increase your time in sunlight exposure. Get vitamin d injection once in a month instead of taking capsules.
Finish dinner by 8 pm as our digestive system is slightly weaker as night approaches.
Avoid packed food such as noodles, pasta, rusk.
