Hello sir. Sorry regarding your problem but I strongly advice you to go for ultrasonography of your pelvis done to see for prostate gland. Becoz enlargement of prostate (benign hpertrophy of prostate) is common in old age and it might lead to increased frequency of urine in night (nocturia). If your report comes out to be normal then you might try with reducing content of drinking water at night. Take care.

There can be two possibilities of your issue. First possibility may be that you are suffering from uncontrolled blood sugar. If your blood sugars are uncontrolled then you will have frequent Urination which is a common complaint of all uncontrolled diabetics. The second possibility can be of prostrate problem. If you have prostrate trouble that will also lead to frequent urination. And other symptoms like urgency and nocturia (frequent urination in the night)

Avoid drinking too late before bed to avoid nocturia. Avoid alcohol, citrus foods and drinks, coffee, tea, and tomatoes and tomato-based products. Indian gooseberry juice: A great source of vitamin C, helping boost the immune system and treat potential problems of urinary tract infections.

It can be a symptom of more serious conditions like diabetes, overactive bladder syndrome, utis or prostate problems. Needing to urinate frequently can even disturb your sleep. That full bladder that keeps waking you up in the middle of an otherwise good night's sleep is a condition called nocturia.

Ultrasound is an observer dependent study. Although it gives an approximate estimation of prostate size, merely the size of the prostate doesn`t determine management. As long as you do not have any symptoms related to prostate like increased frequency of urination, urgency, nocturia, hesitancy, intermittent stream of urine, straining at urination, nothing needs to be worried about. Anyways you are only 28 years old, and the symptoms of prostate enlargement usually start appearing from the age of e...more

Nocturia is defined as “excessive urination at night”. Normally, the amount of urine the body produces goes down at night, reducing the need to urinate for the 6 to 8 hours that people are sleeping. Since waking to urinate on one occasion during the night is generally considered to be “normal”, having nocturia generally implies that someone wakes up more than once a night to urinate.
