Mri cervical spine (h/o neck pain radiating to right upper limb) scanacquired on a ge 1.5 tesla hdxt 16 channel 23x machine. T1w, t2w sequences were taken sagittal and axial planes. Findings: loss of cervical spine lordosis seen- consistent with fibro-muscular spasm. Mild disc bulge is seen at c5-c6 and c6-c7 level with mild indentation on theca sac and compression on bilateral ventral nerve roots. Vertebral bodies are otherwise normal in size, shape, alignment and signal intensity. No evidence of osseous destruction seen. No compression / collapse is seen at any level. Bony central spinal canal is normal in dimension. The lower end of spinal cord, conusmedullaris and nerve root of caudaequina appear normal. Thecal sac is normal and csf demonstrates normal signal intensity. Craniovertebral junction is normal. No intraspinal mass or pre/paravertebral collection seen. Opinion: mri reveals loss of cervical spine curvature with mild spondylitis changes. Mild disc bulge at c5-c6 and c6-c7 level with mild indentation on theca sac and compression on bilateral ventral nerve roots. Suggest clinical correlation. Dr. Sonia. What was the diagnosis made, for which prednisone was started. Was there an mri or xray done, if yes what the report. If you have cervical disc disease then physiotherapy should help along with supplememts. Need to establish the diagnosis. If its rheumatoid, then continuous medications are needed to control the disease.
