There is no medication as such for DMD in any system. As said Physiotherapy will help to prevent contractures worsening of the condition. Please register in the Muscular Dystrophy society as they will help to keep you updated on any newer form of therapy.

Hello, Hypertrophic cervix can be carcinoma cervix. Please get a pap smear and a local per vaginal examination done and review with reports.

Hi all, My mother is Non-Hodkins Lymphoma patient and she was treated for this in 2015. The treatment got completed in 2015 august. Pet-Ct is done regularly for every 6 months. A left level 1b and II cervical lymph nodes was observed with suv max of 4.8 and size of 2.41.3 since 1 year. Last year one left axillary node was also there with suv max of 5.8 so doctors asked us to get it biopsed and result is that its not cancerous. But now in the recent pet scan report left level 1b and II cervical lymph nodes was only present and the suv max of those nodes are less than the one that is taken in the past that is 4.4 and size of 1.79 mm. previously the doctors told that those nodes may no be cancerous and suggested that no biopsy is required for that node but now as there is no other nodes other than this there are threatening us to go for biopsy. As the same node is present since 1.5 years do we still go for biopsy. We are in dilemma whether to go for biopsy or not because its under neck and if something goes wrong situation will be worse. Please suggest some thing.

I have one serious query related to my dad can any one help me out because right now my entire family in stress and my dad is not well to we are doing best for my dad as he is suffering from IPF. Treatment is going on as per doctor advice. Doctor told me that its normal just take medicine and some precautions like stay away from dust, smoke etc Can any one help me out how serious disease is it (IPF) doc advice Fibrodone medicine twice a day till 3 month my dad health is okay but he is not getting internal body power like previous he is I don't know what to do now. He is feeling like down after few walks outside he feels down its because of disease? Is there any way to gain internal energy to improve the stamina and gain some body power like previously he is. Is it serious disease IPF? Because I read on internet life cycle with this disease is 3 to 5 years its true? I am really worried can any one help me out for this. I want to do best for my dad Thank you.

You must be hypertensive as this is one of the most common cause of LVH. If the thickness is not very high and you don't have a high diastolic dysfunction you don't have to worry.
In case if you are hypertensive then ace inhibitors or arb are the best suited medicine for you (if KFT and electrolytes are normal).

If you have hypertension, or take treatment for hypertension, meet a physician and keep BP under control. If mild hypertrophy is without hypertension, meet a mild cardiologist. Avoid meeting a severe cardiologist for mild hypertrophy.
