Hello. As you must be knowning, c3r is a procedure done to haul the progression of keratoconus. In most of the cases of may stop or slow down if done timely, but in few others even after timely c3r it may keep progressing (further aggravated by rubbing). Eye rubbing is an independent risk factor for developing keratoconus and definitely not to be done at any point of time. Also it will interfere with the healing process after the procedure.
Hope this helps.

Hello. By no amount of expertise or years of experience an ophthalmologist can predict if your myopia will increase above 5 dioptre. But yes since you are still in the growth phase of your life (23 years) chances are that it might. Pathological degenerations in retina are more severe in high myopia (more than -8 d), but more commonly found in moderate myopes as an incidental finding during routine eye check-ups. Timely treatment with laser therapy can prevent from developing any kind of retinal ...more

Hello. I can say that it is unfortunate to be at your place right now. But I can assure you that you must be getting the right treatment only at the esteemed hospital. Laser barrage is done only to seal the area of retinal tear which can possibly prevent its conversion to a full retinal detachment. Progression of the disease is due to the growth of the eyeball and its related changes. Even if retinal detachment occurs, surgery is attempted to re-attach it so that a normal useful vision can be re...more

Ideally, one eye exam every year should help you to stay on top of your eye health, but some people might need to schedule more than one exam in a year. Vision can change quite a bit over the course of a year, especially for those over the age of 50, and it is important to know when you need to schedule an exam.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
Keratoconus can be dangerous if laser vision correction surgery such as lasik is performed on the eye, because it can make the condition worse. Anyone who has even a small degree of keratoconus should not have laser vision correction surgery, unless recommended by the doctor in very specific circumstances.

If a person can feel something in their eye, it is typically an eyelash, some dust, or a grain of sand. However, “foreign body sensation” can cause eye discomfort without there actually being anything in the eye. Dry eyes and inflammation of the eyelids can make it feel as though something is in the eye.
