High myopia is sometimes an inherited genetic condition, and is marked by the eyeball stretching and growing too long. This throws off the eyeball's normal proportions, so that incoming light focuses in front of the retina, instead of on it.

Starbursts, or a series of concentric rays or fine filaments radiating from bright lights, may be caused by refractive defects in the eye. Starbursts around light are especially visible at night, and may be caused by eye conditions such as cataract or corneal swelling, or may be a complication of eye surgery.

Your daughter needs to use glasses or contact lens after an eye test. Or she may get a surgical correction when the glasses may not be needed.

Astigmatism is diagnosed by an eye exam. A complete eye exam involves a series of tests to check your eye health and a refraction, which determines how your eyes bend light. Your eye doctor may use various instruments, aim bright lights directly at your eyes and ask you to look through several lenses.

Hello. 0.25 dioptre of increase in myopia is relatively insignificant clinically compared to same power of cylinder power. Usually increase in spherical power by more than 0.5d in 12 months is considered unstable. So you need not worry at all about your power right now.
In maximum children myopia stabilises my puberty, in some others by late 30s and in only very handful of myopes, it continues to increase further. I think yours has stabilised by now.
Also, there are various theories abou...more

Hello. I would first like to know what treatment you had taken for your stye and also how many times it has happened before? Stye can be a manifestation of a more deeper problem. People who have some kind of refractory error and do not know about it have a habit of habitual rubbing of eyes which can cause infection of the lashes. Do you have dandruff in your head or anywhere else? Did you consult an eye doctor for the medicines or took it on your own? The blurring of vision can be due to cornea ...more

Hello. I would like to know the power of your glasses first. Larger powers come with heavy glasses, but they can be made lightweight by suitable frames. I will be needing a picture of you (front view and sideways view - both right and left side) before commenting anything about your tilted nose. You can contact me anytime with all these necessary details so that we can come to a conclusion for you and decide about what is to be done in future. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hello. First of all let me tell you, having and wearing glasses is a very naturalâ€â™ and normal condition. Other than that, I am sorry to say this but no kind of or amount of naturalâ€â™ measures can help you get rid of -5 dioptre of myopia.
Meanwhile, my advise to you- 1. Get your glasses checked at least 1 yearly 2. Get your retina checked every yearly (high powers can cause retinal damage, which if identified early can be treated with laser therapy)
3. You have to constantly keep wea...more
