You must have overstretched the shoulder joint.
Do not repeat it again, apply hot pack and leave it for a day or two.Can apply move or volini spray.
Dont apply pressure on the affected part.
Place a pillow below the shoulder joint and rest.
Do not exercise for few days now.

If diabetes had in past or present not been in good control then it can be nerves pain, it cab be b12 deficiency it can be low vitamin d it can be high uric acid

Continue with the physiotherapy. You cannot get an immediate recovery as per the medication intake cases. You have to do the exercises regularly as per adviced by the physiotherapists.

Is ur blood sugar under control. It can be caused by Overuse of a muscle, dehydration, muscle strain or simply holding a position for a prolonged period can cause a muscle cramp.
First, stop doing whatever triggered the muscle spasm then:
Gently stretch and massage the spasmodic muscle.
Hold it in a stretched position until the spasms stop.
Apply cold to sore/tender muscles or heat to tense/tight muscles.
