Overdose of dulcolax may cause loose motions but not bloody stools. Malena is passage of black sticky foul stools. Do not confuse it with bloody stools. Bloody stools may occur in infections, piles etc. Please consult a physician in person as a detailed history and examination would be required.

Due to gastric acidity you might be feeling bloating and fullness ,may be you were having ulcers in stomach in 2010 I advice you to stop drinking and smoking because it will further damage your stomach lining vist gastroenterologist he will examine you properly.

get his ascitic fluid tapped and send for culture and accordingly antibiotics will be modified. Till then a broad spectrum antibiotic in dose according to kidney reports. please do consult a nearby gastro or hepatologist for this. If he recovers (we pray for that), you may bring him to us for further care.

you are having melena.it could be due to gastric ulcer.get your stool examined for occult blood and consult physician/gastroenterologist.you may have to do upper GI endoscopy

Endoscopy should be done upper gi and lower gi to search for the cause. And treat constipation also if there.

Iron supplements can cause blakish brown stools. But if the stools are tarry fowl smelling and jet black it indicates melena. Consult gastroenterologist in your area.

Was it black colored then it's melena ie from upper gastrointestinal tract. And if it is red colored then it is from lower git. Ie Piles or from colon.
Do the following investigation ie stool examination from a good pathological laboratory. And let me know.
