There are several ectoparasites that can pose a life-threatening risk to dogs if left untreated. Here are three significant examples:

Fleas (ctenocephalides spp.): while fleas are common and often considered a nuisance, a severe infestation can lead to life-threatening conditions. I presume you have taken 5 dose course sometimes before 2 nd june. Then 2 booster doses. Subsequently one dose on 8 th june. In this case you have one year period of protection from 3rd june onwards. Only you need to consult an expert or surgeon if it was rabies animal, with deep lacerated wound nearer head. Otherwise you could have ignored it and avoided booster second time within 5 days again.

Chronic respiratory diseases like bronchial asthma, bronchiectasis, copd, sarcoidosis and interstitial lung disease are vulnerable to repeated infections and multiple hospital visits or admission.

The main reasons for the increased susceptibility is altered lung defence, use of steroids in various respiratory conditions and multiple comorbidities like diabetes and coronary disease.

Patients should ideally be vaccinated for pneumococcal and influenza disease routinely.

The chances of human to human transmission are very less. There are no well documented cases except from organ/cornea transplant. However since rabies is 100% fatal, you should get yourself vaccinated.
