I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
In addition to potentially damaging the lower esophagus, frequent heartburn or gerd may also damage the upper throat. This can occur if the stomach acid comes all the way up into the back of the throat or nasal airway. This condition is often referred to as laryngopharyngeal reflux (lpr).
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Most people who complain of chronic throat clearing have a disorder called laryngopharyngeal reflux (lpr). It's caused when matter from the stomach — both acidic and nonacidic — travels up to the throat region, causing an uncomfortable sensation that makes you clear your throat.

Hello lybrate-user, it would be proper to diagnose your throat sensation in detail as it could be a nagging globus symptom. A proper ent consultation would be required in your case as there are multiple causes for your problem and it would help you have a precise treatment rather than empirical therapies.
