Given your age, you should be put on medication for cholesterol and you should also undergo cardiac evaluation to rule out any cardiac disease, given your back condition, an Echo, followed by Dobutamine Stress Echo will be better for you, rather than a stress test. Also change your diet, reduced sugar, carbohydrates and fried and junk food. Get a detailed Diet consult from a dietician. And if you can do start with walking around 20-25 mins everyday.

Avoid too much testing. Are you losing weight? Are there any other symptoms? Sometimes hemoglobin and thyroid test is required. Usually palpitations improve with rest and good diet. Take less sugar, and take plenty of traditionally healthy foods like butter and eggs.

Yes you can. Also you can do the following-- stop smoking (if you smoke). Smoking lowers your hdl, (“good”) cholesterol level. Change the way you eat. Low-fat, low-cholesterol eating benefits all your lipid levels.
Lose weight if necessary.
Maintain healthy lifestyle start exercising.
Nuts, such as almonds, pistachios, and walnuts, contain high amounts of unsaturated fat or “good” fats, which increase high-density lipoprotein (hdl) and lower low-density lipoprotein (ldl).

Mr. lybrate-user, stop eating junk foods. They just harm to your body without giving any nutrition. Do regular exercise like brisk walk, jogging or running for 30 mins. Inculcate cardio exercises in your routine. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid oily food. Avoid excess intake of sugar in your tea and coffee. You can send me complete report and consult privately.
