I have cervicitis I been to doctor and he prescribed me regimen azithromycin+doxycycline +metronidazole and two probiotics one by vagina and one by mouth. My question is how I get infected? I had’t sex for 5-6 months and after that I got married and I had sex with my husband. Right after that I start getting symptoms like pelvic pain, vaginal discharge, itching around vagina. After marriage one time after sex I had vaginal swelling for two days. My husband is saying he had’t sex with anybody since two years. Pls let me know should I ask him to go for std test? Waiting for reply.

Are you on catheter or you r referring to urethra. If on catheter you need to change it and sister will teach you catheter care. Full antibiotic course according to urine culture.
If your urethra or meatus is inflamed you need to do urine test, ultrasound abdomen and pelvis and urine culture test. Visit any urologist with test.

I am 20 year old female. I have vaginal discharge everyday. 4-5 months ago, I consulted a gym and she told me it was cervicitis as the cervix was red and inflamed. She asked me to get sonography done. But according to sonography reports, it was not cervicitis. Gynaecologist gave me medicines doxycycline and metronidazole. I took them for a week butbit didn't work out. I still have vaginal secretions. There's no pain or bleeding. Is it cervical ectropion? What treatment do you suggest? Please help me out.

Are you sexually active. If yes a Pap smear should be done. At times controlling discharge takes sometime. Cauterization technique also may be needed. Please check with your Gynecologist again

I am 23-year-old male and I think I am having urethritis. I have already consulted a urologist and have taken a three weeks course of doxylin and 4 tablets of azithromycin though my pain has reduced substantially but still after urinating I have burning sensation and sometimes there cloudy urine after which my urethra or penile muscle hurts or feel weak for an hour or two and also there is swelling at the head of penis and skin appears shiny during erection.

I am suffering from back pain and neck pain from past 3-4 months. Intensity varies from low to high. On recommendation of family physician I had done xray of cervical spine. Below is summary of result: Partial loss of normal lordosis. Marginal osteophytes are noted. Vertebrae appear normal in shape, size and contour. Alignment is proper. Intervertebral joint spaces appear unremarkable. Spinal canal is within normal limits. Posterior elements appear unremarkable. Please correlate clinically. Normal lordosis is maintained. Multilevel marginal osteophytes are noted. Cortical margin accentuation and central compression are noted at multiple levels. Alignment is proper. L5-S1 disc space appears reduced. Intervertebral joint spaces elsewhere appear unremarkable. Spinal canal is within normal limits. Posterior elements appear unremarkable. IMPRESSION: Osteodegenerative changes with osteoporosis. Please help me to understand the problem and advice treatment Accordingly.
