If you are facing recurrent pain and swelling in the wisdom tooth region, then it definitely needs to be removed. Prior to that get an x ray of the concerned region done. Meanwhile you can do warm saline rinses for some relief. Visit an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for the extraction procedure.

The swelling can be due to an injury to your gums while eating or because of wisdom tooth eruption or due to a decayed tooth etc. Clinical examination by a dentist is necessary for proper diagnosis. Meanwhile you can do warm saline rinses 2 to 3 times a day for some relief.

Wisdom teeth usually make their appearance between the ages of 17 and 21, though it's possible for them to push through earlier or later. Referred to as your "third molars," these four teeth begin to push through the skin like any other tooth, which can cause pain. However, wisdom teeth are much more likely to grow in at an incorrect angle – even sideways – causing impaction that can radiate this pain to the teeth in front of it. Kindly get it extracted as soon as possible.

No you shud visit a dentist n get a proper radiograph done .if the tooth is tilted on either side ,it vl cause you pain again and again and in that case you vl have to surgically remove it ie the tooth. But if the tooth is in straight line the dentist vl just cut off the extra gum covering your tooth so as to prevent food accumulation and infection there.

I followed that and completely smoke free since than. Later in december 2021 I have noticed slight color change near upper left molar and few ulceration in january 2022. I checked my mouth on 2 feb 2022 and saw ulcers gone and redness also going away but not completely. He also checked me on 4 april as my pre scheduled wisdom teeth removal day (i had a impacted wisdom teeth) he said its ok now do not take stress and on 13 april ge removed my suture from removed teeth area. Later while brushing I noticed the redness again occurred in the same area but this time I cal feel very tiny ball thing with. Ulceration occurs and fade away, this is happening since 3 may. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with multivitamin cap, for five days in the morning after meals & antiseptic ointment or gel (turbocort) on the area of ulcer until then. Mouth sores are common and rarely cause complications. Most go away in about a week, but it’s important to monitor any mouth sores you develop. If you are concerned, or...more
