You should consult an orthopedic doctor who deals in sports injuries. Apart from MRI findings clinical exam is very important to formulate a plan of treatment .Lachman and Pivot shift tests are very important. Findings in the examination room and under anaesthesia needs to be considered along with arthroscopy findings. Depending on these you might need ACL reconstruction and meniscal injury treatment either meniscal tear excision or repair.

Knee pain
this is a general knee pain and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, it looks like you are is important to check that.
Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having body pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for knee pain. With knee exercises you will definitely feel better and muscles must be strengthened

Hi lybrate-user
Here is the answer to your query
Any injury to knee has combination of bone and soft tissue (ligament/ meniscus /muscle etc.)

So we should rely more on second mri.
Treatment involves two or three objectives First priority is for following Reduce swelling
Increase movement to full knee flexion.
Once you achieve full movement of knee U should be reassessed for ligament laxit...more

It is upto you whether you go for surgery or not. Doctor has suggested you best option.
Pain is because of instability due to ligament tear and Meniscus tear. These things do not Heal on their own. Had it been just ligament tear, you could have got relief with physiotherapy. Torn meniscus keeps rubbing on joint surfaces and pain would go on increasing. It also causes damage to cartilage.
All modalities directed to reduce pain somehow temporarily will not change meniscus and ligament in...more
