Start with isometric strengthening exercises for quadriceps and hamstrings and proceed to isotonic exercises and try to check your vitamin d 3 levels checked along with it continue with it multivitamin suppliments along with calcium rich diet and regular theraband exercises would help.

For precautionary measure you can start up by warming up with hopping and doing calf, hams and quads stretching and then start running.
After finishing running you can do same stretchings and then rest.

If you do not feel uncomfortable, wearing knee caps(Knee support) is an advantage for you.
