Keloids are a difficult condition to treat. You need multiple injections in the keloid, at regular intervals, for the best response. Sometimes, surgery is also helpful.

keloid tends to reccur again and again. Advised treatment is intralesional injection of triamcinolone (kenocort) it may regress the keloid after 2 -3 sittings.

A keloid is a growth of extra scar tissue. It occurs where the skin has healed after an injury.
Keloids often DO NOT need treatment. If the keloid bothers you, these things can be done to reduce the size:
Corticosteroid injections
Freezing (cryotherapy)
Laser treatments
Radiation
Surgical removal
Silicone gel or patches
These treatments, especially surgery, sometimes cause the keloid scar to become larger.
