My child is 2 y 1 m age. Female.still she continues mother milk. How long the baby can continue mother milk. If so is there will be any other effects like decrease in i.q or intelligence levels. Pl answer my qs. Thanking you.

It is okay for small babiesto breat feed beyond two years . You should initiate top feeding which reduces her dependence on breastfeeding. Prolonged breast feeding has beneficial effects on baby. There is no harmful side effects.

There are no medications as per the latest medical research. Probably in the near future they could be developed. Keep fingers crossed till then. Medicines have been developed for cancers, AIDS, Tb etc after lot of research as well.

He needs to undergo through evaluation for his difficulties. An IQ test is recommended. Along with it other tests to know whether or not he is suffering from other childhood disorders like ADHD, autism etc. After that a skill based training program can be formed to tackle the various behavioural problems.

Hello My nephew does not respond to the situation compare to other kids of same age. Although he is a quick learner but don't know how to use the knowledge. E.G if I teach him something he learn it with in few attempts but as other kids can use same thing (knowledge) as per their understanding he can't, I mean that analytical skills is lacking. You can not expect analytical skills from a kid in k. G. Please don't stress, he is coming in top three in his class what else is required. Observe him or some more time, if there are complaints from school or anything significant is observed you can take him for iq test to a psychologist/psychiatrist other necessary tests can be done then. Just relax as parents, he is just growing support him motivate him.

Hi, My daughter is 3 years old. She is able to speak only 2-3 words. Sometimes she responds to her name and follows few simple instructions and sometimes does not care when busy. Never watches tv and not much interested in mobiles. Goes to play school from past 6 months. And socially well behaved. Rest she is a normal child. Consulted pediatric ent and speech therapist. Got BERA test done. Results were normal. OAE could not be performed as the probe dint fit properly and middle ear functioning was also tested and was normal. Now the speech therapist says he is confident with the result of BERA even when OAE could not be performed, and suggested speech therapy for month. Autism was ruled out. Please advice as I am confused. She uses her left hand dominantly and reached all other milestones like walking, crawling etc. A bit delayed.

Tsh level is taken 2.5 in 4 months .if it's 4.4 definitely tab thyroxin to be taken first 75 mcg daily one tab before breakfast. Effects are more like bp may increase along with harmonal imbalance. Baby iq is said to be decrease if not in control. Congenital malformations are also common.
