Most likely your edema and ascites are due to protein deficiency, so unless protein is replenished, you may continue to have issues. Speak to your doctor about oral protein supplements, to see if that is a feasible option for you. You may also consult with a palliative care institution, which may help you get the injections or supplements for free or at subsidized rates. Also, you can get in touch with distributors directly who can get you heavy discounts on the products.

It will be better if you avoid completely. But even if you loose your discipline you should eat a very minimal amount, that too once or twice a month.
For strength you can do some physical exercise and eat nutrient rich foods like chicken and eggs or paneer, tofu etc if you are veg. You should also take few pieces of dry fruits daily for energy.

Please note that if it is microscopic you will not be able to see with naked eyes -- they need to be brought under lenses for viewing.
Second perhaps you need another dose of albendazole with ivermectin.

Duration of complaint not given. Keep a diary to note down food items suspected to remain undigested. Avoid them for some time to see the result. If confirmed to be undigested you should avoid them. Seasonal vegetables, fried items, spicy dishes, milk products or wheat products may be the cause. Try to consume more water 3-4 litres daily. Eat sufficient fibres like multi grain, selected fruits, green leafy vegetables. Routine exercise like walking and mind relaxing techniques is also important. ...more
