Should I take an oath daily to study? The following 4 factors affected my academics. 1) due to lighten, we, students cannot have a classroom in which college discipline is there. 2) I left the official college whatsapp group due to memes, jokes. 3) no college friends due to not supporting them in class mass bunk. 4) I did complaint the college to nba/naac members in delhi that's why our college didn't get nba accreditation this year. My concern is what can be the equivalent options available for each factors. And how can I complete my assignments and get prepare for the upcoming exams without the above 4 factors? My problem is I study for 2 hours but in those 2 hours, I write assignments of 2 pages (4 sides). I write slow, I apply force to write with a pen because I feel fatigue. Should I change my pen? Regards, xavier siby moorkattil (student of xavier institute of engineering, mumbai) note: st. Xavier's college, mumbai and xavier institute of engineering are two different institutes running by 2 different trustees.

1) well, in 2019 the term was really good because I got to meet all these new people, so I was expecting the same until my graduation, but that didn’t happen. I actually lost some friends, a bunch of the friends but then I started to skip more online classes and eventually stopped attending online classes altogether. 2) I thought I would do the readings, but I ended watching a lot of tv shows (crime investigation shows) and put off the reading for the night. At night I would get tired so I just slept saying that I would catch-up the next day. And I had read only 3 self-help books. 3) I wanted to read but it was just too much and it was very overwhelming. 4) I felt worse on days I completed pleasant activities. It is less common to feel worst after completing pleasant activities however, it can happen. I feel that I should keep trying and I will start to see the results! 5) reasons why I procrastinate in studies/academics: a) being overwhelmed: I either make a task seem so big that it’s impossible to accomplish or constantly think about all things I have to do, instead of breaking down activities and focusing only on the task at hand. I end up feeling overwhelmed with the amount of work and end up not doing anything. B) disorganization and distractibility: I am surrounded by endless distractions. Constantly checking emails, the news, socializing in person or online, instead of focusing on activities I am responsible for. Not making a distinction between priorities and optional activities. C) self-labelling: believing myself as a schizophrenic person, bipolar 1 disorder person, etc. Based on psychiatrist's diagnosis/labelling. This kind of labelling creates the illusion that these attributes are inherent features of the real me and prevents me from taking action. I think you are just overthinking about yourself and you are overexpecting from others. Focus more on your personality development rather than on others. Plan your day prior with small set goals, even if you r able to do 50% of your set goals for day its more than enough since you would gradually improve. Limit your social media usage daily and get into some physical activity daily since it improves your concentration. Accept the reality and go on with the flow .this is life.
