Cilcar is a newer version of the old and reliable amlodipine BP medicine that has till now been the best BP medicine ever invented.

Telmesartan plus amlodipine 5 will keep your bp perfect, the newer version is milder and useful only if amlodipine is lowering your BP too much.

Unfortunately since cilacar is a newer product from Korea, it has not been taught to drs in our medical textbooks.
So using it is treatment based on hope more than knowledge

It seems you think of bp as paramount determinant of health. Measuring bp is a new phenomenon, never previously done.
It can be helpful if done as advised, but it causes plenty of difficulties if done without following the recommended methods. Hypertension symptoms usually not present even the sbp reaches 180. The symptoms you are experiencing most likely other diseases. There is no bp tolerance due to medicines. Chest pain possibly could be gastritis pain or angina pain which is related to heart. Its better to consult a physician if these symptoms become worsen.

Atenolol is similar to metoprolol and will work similarly amlodipine is another bp medicine, so combination is double dose. If atenolol keeps bp controlled then amlodipine need not be taken, but if it is high with atenolol then combination should be tried.

Metoprolol is a safe and effective medicine, a class of drug called beta blockers. Any beta blocker will have similar side effect profile. If you are too worried with the adverse effects, you can ask visit an electrophysiologist (cardiologist who specializes in svt) and ask if you qualify for an "ablation procedure" this may help get rid of beta blockers.

Please check your bp regularly. If it is continously increased, need to take medications with known mechanisms to decarease it to normal value. Otherwise it has effects on brain, eyes heart and kidney. Consult a general physician and get in under control.
