Mr. Lybrate-user, high uric acid in the blood may be present in many persons, but it may not cause any difficulty. But in some it leads to joint pains and gouty arthritis. In such situations it is necessary to reduce the uric acid. It is better to reduce overall fat intake as fat reduces uric acid excretion.
Liberal intake of water helps excretion of uric acid.
Restrict or preferably eliminate alcohol intake.

Dear lybrate user,
protein is one of the most vital nutritional substances which are required for human body. Almost every high protein diet contains purine. This purine produces uric acid on oxidation. Excess uric acid is accumulated at the joints of human beings as urate salts. This accumulation of urate salts lead to pain & swelling of those affected joints & this condition is clinically known as gout.
You should avoid high protein rich diet like mutton, chicken, beef, eggs, sea fish,...more

And some people with a high uric acid level also develop high blood pressure, heart disease or chronic kidney disease, but it's often unclear whethe...more

Hello, you can eat any kind of food or fruit when you are having high uric acid things you need to avoid are food containing protein. Because as we know gout generally results due to disturbance in our purine metabolism and the food containing high level of protein leads to such type of condition.
Management is very important drink atleast 2 to 3 litres of water per day.
