What is the remedy about?

Dark circles are a common occurrence for many people nowadays. Earlier it used to be for aged people but thanks to the times we live in, even the younger generation has also fallen prey to dark circles under the eye. There can be many reasons for this and one of the biggest reasons can be hereditary and inadequate sleep patterns. You can try these home remedies to avoid such baggy eyes.

  1. Cucumber
Cucumbers have cooling effect naturally and are good for treating the baggy eyes. They can also lighten up the color of the skin, and can reduce puffiness. To use this, cut a cucumber into thin slices and place them on your eyes while you relax. After about 15 minutes, wash the eyes with lukewarm water. Do this at least once a day to notice visible changes.
  2. Potato
Potatoes have natural bleaching properties and it can lighten up dark circles. They can also be beneficial in removing the puffiness around the eyes. To use this, chill out a potato for an hour in the refrigerator. Later cut them into thin slices, and apply it on your ice. Alternatively you can make a juice and dip a cotton bud in it and apply it around your eyes for about 15 minutes. This is one of the effective ways to remove dark circles.
  3. Green Tea Bags
Green tea is rich in antioxidants and they can be effective in lightening up dark circles. Boil two green tea bags in a cup of water for about 10 minutes. Remove them and let it cool in a refrigerator for half an hour. Now take them out and put the cold tea bags on your eyes for about 15 minutes. Use this method regularly to get the best results.

Are there any side effects?

Check your allergic levels to these fruits and vegetables before using them. Usually these are safe and do not cause any side effects. Cucumbers have to be ripe when they are used and if needed you can even refrigerate them for an hour and cut them into slices and use them. When using the coldwater on your eyes, use treated water and make sure they don't contain any impurities. If your eyes feel uncomfortable while using these items, seek medical help without delay. Don't use these remedies more than needed.

What are the post-remedy guidelines?

Going out in the sun is an absolute no after applying these remedies on the eyes. If you have to step out, wear sunglasses to prevent injuries to your eyes. Drink a lot of water to keep your skin supple and free of blemishes and wrinkles. Also, stick to a proper sleep pattern. In many cases, lack of sleep is the main reason for dark circles under the eyes. Avoid stress in every way possible and do not stay awake during the night.

How long does it take to recover?

Dark circles, once formed can take many weeks to disappear completely. It also depends on your skin type and how severe your condition is to begin with. With these remedies though, you can see some positive results immediately as the dark spots start to lessen. Avoiding stress and getting enough sleep can help in the long run too.

Are the results of the remedy permanent?

Dark circles occur due to lack of sleep and rest or excess stress. Naturally, they can come back. So start with these remedies the moment you notice faint circles around your eyes. Try and get more sleep and reduce stress levels by meditating or indulging in a cheerful hobby. You should also have enough water every day to keep your skin healthy and glowing.

Is there any training or experts required?

Previous training is not required to follow these home remedies. Just ensure that you follow the instructions and find out the reason why the dark circles have appeared under your eyes. In case you have any doubts or queries, do not hesitate to consult with your doctor. Check if your skin has any allergic reaction to potato, cucumber or tea.

Facial Rejuvenation: Advantages of Dermal Fillers For Perfect Skin!
Facial aging is an issue which shows its first signs around the late twenties and early thirties. It is manifested in the form of fine lines, dark circles, wrinkles and rough skin, especially near the eyes and lips. This process cannot be reversed. It is a part of human body and the way the skin matures with age. But, it can be treated through surgical and non-surgical or natural means to make sure that the process of aging is slowed down. Factors Affecting Facial Aging: There are several factors which affect the facial aging and aggravate the process faster. Some of these factors are: If you smoke excessively, your face would sooner or later start showing signs of aging prematurely. At times, this process gains speed due to genetic issues. Stress and anxiety are the most important reasons for a person to start showing signs of aging at an early stage of life. If you lead a hectic lifestyle which involves excessive travelling throughout different climates, the exhaustion may be manifested through facial aging. What are Dermal Fillers? Dermal fillers help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness in the face. As we age, our faces naturally lose subcutaneous fat. The facial muscles are then working closer to the skin surface, so smile lines and crow's feet become more apparent. The facial skin also stretches a bit, adding to this loss of facial volume. Other factors that affect the facial skin include sun exposure, heredity, and lifestyle. Dermal fillers can be used to: Plump thin lips Enhance shallow contours Soften facial creases and wrinkles Improve the appearance of recessed scars Dermal fillers can be very helpful in those with early signs of aging, or as a value-added part of facial rejuvenation surgery. Administration: You must make a note of the fact that dermal filling is not considered to be a type of surgical treatment. However, it does use anaesthesia while being administered. In fact, the patient is first given a dose of anaesthesia and left to rest for about half an hour. Some fillers have anesthesia in the syringe itself otherwise, we apply numbing cream or topical anesthesia. Thereafter, dermal fillings are applied with the help of fine needles. You need to realise that the use of fine needles with precision can be done only by those who have been specially trained for it. Thus, if your dermatologist recommends you for a treatment of dermal filling, then he/she ought to be a trained expert in carrying out the procedure. If you, on your own prefer to get this treatment done, then you should also find an expert who is well trained in administering this procedure. Thus, dermal fillers are quite famous in the world of facial dermatology to reverse the aging process. It helps in reducing fine lines, wrinkles and adds volume and smoothness to the skin.

Wrinkles - How Chemical Peels Can Help Get Rid Of It?
Wrinkles are the natural signs of ageing. While they make one look wiser, they also portray signs of tiredness, sadness and weariness. It is literally impossible to cure wrinkles. They, however, can be stopped from spreading. Eyes are the first place where wrinkles become visible. Prolonged exposure to the sun, chronic alcoholism, chain smoking are some of the other reasons of wrinkles. Apart from an array of self-help techniques, it is possible to manage wrinkles through cosmetic treatments. Here is a list of 4 such options: Chemical peels: Chemical peels are often used to get rid of wrinkles by resurfacing the skin. The physician applies an acidic solution that peels off the existing skin and makes way for the new skin to the surface. The old skin gets removed and become inconspicuous. The beauty of this line of treatment is the fact that they are very simple to perform and does not require an anaesthesia. In the case of deeper peels, a surgical procedure might require anaesthesia. The type of procedure is decided by the surgeon after consulting with the patient. Eclipse micro pen: The eclipse micro pen is a very safe and simple procedure performed by cosmologists. An aesthetician makes microscopic wound by using a special device on winkle affected areas such as the forehead and eyes. The opens are left as it is to produce more elastin and collagen. The skin heals itself, giving rise to the fresh skin, which looks much smoother and younger. This procedure ensures that the skin doesn t get injured. Restylane and Juvederm fillers: Dermal fillers are considered to be a good option for treating wrinkles in the eye area. While botox relaxes the muscles and fillers affect nearby waters to fill in the void. Certain fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane have the ability to address dark circles tear troughs and wrinkles. It contains an acid gel similar to the hyaluronic acid that the human body possesses. Since this gel doesn t fill the holes with foreign bodies they have a more natural way to treat wrinkles. Drastic improvement can be witnessed within 6-8 months of the treatment. Lower Blepharoplasty: Blepharoplasty is the best way to treat wrinkles under the eyes. They successfully treat puffiness and severe bags near the eye area. A lower blepharoplasty serves the purpose of removing fat muscles and sagging skin. This procedure ensures a tighter and youthful looking skin at the wrinkle area. Another advantage of this procedure is the fact that it is less evasive and the patient heals quickly. It should be ensured that the patient has a prior consultation with the doctor before going ahead with this surgery.

5 Ways To Differentiate Between Lens And Specs!
Eyeglasses and contact lenses are both used for vision correction. Both of the options have their advantages and disadvantages but a number of factors like lifestyle, comfort and age etc. are important while deciding which one to choose. Here is a list of the fundamental differences between using spectacles and using contact lenses: 1. Distance from the cornea Lenses are worn directly on the eye and are in constant physical contact with the cornea while glasses are worn over the eyes.Contact lenses may cause infections in the eye because the user has to touch the eye in order to wear them and to take them off. 2. Difference in vision Since the lenses of the spectacles are a little distance away from the eye, vision can be slightly distorted but contact lenses can provide natural and accurate vision. Also, side vision is not improved by glasses as you have to turn your head to see what is beside you. The contacts move around with your eyeballs and the peripheral vision is in focus. 3. Ease of use Some people find eyeglasses difficult to use because of the constant weight on the face and the obstruction caused by the frames of the glasses. There may also be a constant need to adjust the frames. Often eyeglasses slip down the nose when you sweat or engage in rigorous physical activity. Contacts are free from all these hassles- they not distracting or obstructive and so they are extensively used by dancers and athletes.Spectacles is very uncomfortable to wear during the rains or in humid weather because they fog up. 4. Infections and complications Contact lenses can get displaced inside the eye and they can be difficult to reposition. They also cause the eyes to itch and water if you wear them for a very long time at a stretch or if tiny dust particles enter your eyes. The use of eyeglasses is far more flexible in this respect- they can be removed in case your eye itches or burns, but regular use of glasses causes dark circles and bags under the eyes. 5. Aesthetic differences People often prefer contact lenses as they do not change the physical appearance- they help you to look natural and you can also use colored lenses to change the color of your eyes. Glasses may look slightly unnatural but some people also prefer them for the fashion quotient.

5 Mistakes That Are Aging Your Face

5 Mistakes That Are Aging Your Face
There are a variety of aspects of skin care that have to do with elements and habits that are outside the products and treatments one may use in order to get youthful looking skin and retain its natural glow. Here is a list of five mistakes that may be aging your face despite the best efforts in terms of skin care. Banish these habits today to ensure that you do not end up with wrinkles and fine lines prematurely. - make up: while there is nothing wrong with using make up on a regular basis, the cardinal sin that many of us commit includes not cleaning the make up properly before we hit the bed. Many of us are so tired by the end of the day that we end up sleeping with our mascara and lipstick still on. The ingredients of such products can greatly alter the quality of your skin if left on for too long. You will need to allow your skin to breathe without any layers of make up so that your dead cells can get replenished and the elasticity of the skin is retained. - sun exposure: prolonged sun exposure without proper protection like a proper sun screen can lead to long term damage and skin diseases too. Not only should we remain in the shade with a large floppy hat whenever we are out in the sun, but we should also do a little research and get the best spf possible that will also suit our skin. Also, we should avoid staying the sun for too many hours in a row. - hydration: many of us make the mistake of having sugary drinks and other beverages when the skin actually needs plenty of water for proper hydration. The skin tends to get dehydrated quickly because of the constant exposure to the world outside and all its micro particles that we catch from pollution and general dirt and grime. Therefore, it is important to replenish the skin with the clear goodness of natural water rather than drinking too many sugary beverages that can harm the collagen and break it down in the long run. - sleep: late nights at work or play can both be extremely detrimental for the skin as the skin needs some rest in order to get the regeneration process going in a smooth manner. Tired looking skin with dark circles can give way to crow's feet and fine lines that look very unbecoming on a young person. - too many products: ensure that you use only a few products for a prolonged period, rather than using too many products and changing them often. This will keep the skin looking fresh and young.
