What are the home remedies for eye pain?

  3. Saline Solution:

    A Homemade saline solution can also be used to get rid of an eye infection. The solution rinses the eye and is good for irritated, inflamed, and itchy eyes. To make this, mix a teaspoon of salt in 1 cup of water. Boil it and allow it to cool. Once cooled use this solution to rinse your eyes with it. You can do this treatment twice daily for better results.

  4. Aloe vera:

    Aloe vera possesses anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. It helps to reduce any inflammation present in your eyes and provides relief from pain. You can apply aloe vera gel by mixing in cold water with the help of a cotton cloth.

  5. Eat fruits and vegetables:

    fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants which is beneficial for the health of the eyes. Eating fruits and vegetables is a preferred home remedy for keeping the eye healthy.

  6. Add Vitamin C:

    Add Vitamin C to your diet to get rid of eye pain. Foods containing Vitamin C are kiwi fruit, tomato, strawberries, green pepper, etc.

  7. Take a break when using a screen:

    While working on a screen make a habit of taking breaks at defined time intervals. It will help to reduce the eye strains and provide relief from the pain.

  8. Wash your eyes:

    Wash your eyelids and eyelashes with the help of lukewarm water. It will remove any particles that entered your eyes and will help to relax your eyes.
