Asked for male, 38 years old from Chennai

My son 11 years old has bilateral hydro utero nephrosis (moderate dilation of pelivcalceal system and ureter is noted with mild urothelial thickening) and also has cystitis, with bladder wall thickening of 5.6 mm. He spotted blood drops at the end of urination. Bun/creatinine normal. Doctor gave antibiotic and all bacterial and uti symptoms are cleared, took mcug and report is normal. He also has constipation, both usg and ct reported fecal loaded large bowel loops. He is on continuous anti-biotic bactrim at night, suggested to do usg after 4 weeks. He had gross hematuria 2 years ago, that got cleared after 8 days course of sporidex and citralka. Now, my doubts are: 1) why he is getting repeated uti? 2) can anti-biotic alone cure hydro-utero nephrosis? Don't know if hydro nephrosis is due to current cystitis or previous uti 2 years ago. 3) is this treatable or not. Very much worried.

1) most common cause of repeated uti is a bad valve but mcug has ruled that out the next common cause could be residual infections and also ureteric stones and strictures predisposes to urinary tract infection. My father is 61 years old. His USG report reads like this: Grade 1 prostatomegaly with enlarged prostate and Small polyp measuring 6 mm Along posterior of UB. Not a case of hematuria.He was feeling difficulty while urinating. Now he is ok urinating normally after taking silodosin capsule and metoz 0.5. Isn't there any worry.

If there's no hematuria you can wait. Get repeat USG abdomen after 3 months and see if size of polyp is increased. Just keep in mind any time hematuria he needs cystoscopy.

Sir/maam, my mother is 38 years old. One day she complained of blood (colour as well as clots) and burning in urine. So we consulted urologist and went for ultrasound and urine test. Those tests showed that everything was normal. Then what is causing this problem and what to do now. Also I have to mention that she had gallbladder surgery for removing gallbladder 7 months ago due to acute cholelithiasis. Please reply asap.

The causes of hematuria bleeding from urine includes vigorous exercise and sexual activity, Apart from that there are few more serious causes of hematuria which includes kidney or bladder cancer; inflammation of the kidney, urethra, bladder and polycystic kidney disease.
Each of the cause needs investigation and treatment accordingly.

I drink 3 ltrs of waters with a gap of 5 hours. When I drink a ltr of water my urine turns into clear or slight yellowish in color but after two or more pee it turns into deep orange color again. Is it normal? if I dnt drink water within 3-4 hrs my urine turns deep orange color. I have frequent UTI.

If there is very less heamoglobin with hematuria we call it as heamolytic anaemia and to increase your heamoglobin value apart from medication eat green vegetables, jaggery, carrots, beet etc.

You may be having hematuria due to cystitis/Pyelonephritis/ UTI. Do urine Re/Me/Culture sensitivity test and USG KUB after consulting Nephrologist. Drink plenty of water

Hi, My mother facing problem of urinary bleeding after taking zentel medicine which is prescribed for bacteria in stomach. She has 6 months before menopause in which she has to face many problems of bleeding which was incur through medicines only. However operation was not done for menopause. Now she has taken zentel medicine at late night and has high urinary bleeding Please tell what I have to do?

I masturbate daily. From two months I have sharp pain in urine. I stopped masturbation for some days. I had no pain when I did it again. After some time I found some red tissue like thing in urine and I was fainted. After some gap, when I masturbated my urine colour changed to pink. I have pain in the urinary track sometimes and sometimes in the starting of urinary track and sometimes I felt like blocking of urine due to red tissue. I also feel some burning sensation in the track. Is there any serious problem?

I told you earlier to continue same medicine, repeat USG abdomen and if size of the polyp increases or if he has hematuria he will need cystoscopy.
