Hi, Saffron is suppose to be a deep coloured condiment which is rich in anti-oxidants and improves immun ity. If its soaked in water for some 2-3 hours it leaves colour and its heat content also reduces, then it can be used. However morning or evening on an empty stomach would be a good time to have Saffron milk for best absorption.

You should try to consume more fat soluble vitamins such as dairy products like curd, milk, ghee. Also eat potato regularly alongwith bananas, citrus fruits like oranges, mousambi are good too.
Pineapple, black grapes are good for gut health.
Sweet potato in winters, palak paneer etc.
