Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
Since you are already on metformin and have hba1c% 6.5%, means there is diabetes. As you have not provided any other information like weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, serum creatinine & urea, as well as lipid profile, there is no way to say anything further. Please come back with all the necessary details, then only I will be able to give any specific advice. Thanks.

In general: a blood sugar level less than 140 mg/dl (7.8 mmol/l) is considered normal. A blood sugar level from 140 to 199 mg/dl (7.8 to 11.0 mmol/l) is considered prediabetes. This is sometimes referred to as impaired glucose tolerance.

Hello egfr is low. Creatinine is on boderline. Hba1c- indicates you are diabetic.
Share your all reports with me on Lybrate.
I will give you best homoeopathic treatment which you can take along with your allopathic medicines. Once reports are normal we can cut off allopathic medicines. No side effects.

You are obese, first you are advised for lifestyle modifications like proper diabetic diet, regular physical activity like aerobic and resistant exercises, avoid any form of sugary foods, good sleep atleast 7 hours at night may improve. After one month you check your blood sugars both f/pp then get your opinion. All the best.
