I think medicines with intensive counselling in the form of MET and RPT will be needed. Depending upon the situation, either inpatient or out patient may be required. I suggest that you don't lose heart and give up. In order to help you better, I will need more details from you such as previous records and detailed description of the amount and nature of drinking behavior. Please revert back with these details. Yes, you need to go for premarital counseling. Explain all your problems, doubts, past experiences and relationships and how to handle any situations. Your gender orientation may not be a problem unless you are still involved in that. But clear all your doubts and check your compatibility and adjustability problems too.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Agoraphobia treatment consists of cognitive behavioral therapy, life style changes, relaxation therapy and meditation. Once you learn how to manage your anxiety yourself with the help of the above treatment methods, you will be cured and you can stop the medicines if any. You are already under cbt treatment. Usually it takes 6 months to one year for a complete cure. The improvement purely depends on the efficacy of the cbt. Hope your cbt is good. Take care.

1) depression has to be treated scientific way & at all levels simultaneously.
2) counselling is a supportive management.
3) you have to treated at disease level & root cause level.
4) we have to improve - increase joy - happy hormone.
5) we have minimise - decrease sad - depression hormone.
6) patient has to be rehabilitate at home, society & work place. Nap therapy, medicines & nap yoga is very effective.
