Hello
any stone larger than 5 mm has to be retrieved out, as they do not pass naturally so my advice is to visit a urologist treatment might include ESWL or other depending on the need
just leave a positive feedback if helpful.

Best treatment for such big stones is pcnl. Other alternative is rirs but still it is surgical and may not give desired results. Other options is eswl but still it is not good option for these big stones.

ESWL is my preferred first approach for this case due to high rate of clearance and lack of obvious surgical complications..

5 mm stone can pass out once you start medicine. But you can do rirs on both sides simultaneously. Cost depends on the hospital. In my hospital (kims trivandrum) it cost 1.3 lakhs. 12 mm stone can be broken using ESWL technique. Clearance rate of stone after ESWL is 90 %. Cost of ESWL procedure is only 25000. No admission required (opd procedure. For rirs success rate of stone breakage is 99%.

you need to consult urologists, and some investigations are needed to prevent stone formation in future, like urine rm, urine cs ,serum calcium ,serum creatinine, serum uric acid. if stone is not obstructing then it can be removed selectively, if it is obstructing then should be removed urgently by pcnl or eswl.
