Hello lybrate-user,
possibly you are worrying unnecessarily, it doesn't mean you get colon cancer if you see blood per rectum. There are many other reasons why you see blood while passing stools or soon after passing stools, that may be related to anorectal disorders like fissures, piles, or fistula. As of now, there is no need to panic about it, you can consult me so that I will clarify your doubts.

Usually cancer is painless until it involves adjacent nerves.
It can be an ulcer which does not heal for long time.
Especially in those who has history of tobacco habits.
Or family history of cancer.
In case of any doubt.. don't wait and take proper check up.
You cannot diagnose diseases like cancer by asking questions about it.

Biopsy suggestive of cancer, but we need to know what type of cancer it is.
As treatment depends on type of cancer in caecum.
Need to do cect abdomen and thorax/pet ct depending on feasibility and affordability for staging purpose (pet ct is not mandatory but helpful).
Do not worry. Two thing are favoring good prognosis, first its polypoidal mass and cea is less than 4 ; both are good prognostic factors. If cect/pet ct shows no metastasis (not spreading to other parts), less likely a...more

Long-term alcohol use has been linked to an increased risk of liver cancer. Regular, heavy alcohol use can damage the liver, leading to inflammation and scarring. Alcohol can also raise estrogen levels in the body, which may explain some of the increased risk. Please do connect with over a call so that I can guide you and provide you more information for this.

Get your liver function test / hemogram test/ stool routine and typhoid dot test done, it can be anything from simple food poisoning to typhoid to viral jaundice, but it can't be cancer as cancer doesn't spread like that from one person to another, if your liver function is abnormal you do further viral test like b virus c virus as these are dangerous if not treated you can have a private consult in Lybrate.

The life expectancy in a metastatic lung cancer has conventionally been dismal, maybe 6 months. But with newer generation medicines like gefitinib, even metastatic cases can live upto 2-3 years. In any case, I am curious that if the disease has spread to just lymph node, why are you calling it metastatic, it may be addressed with curative intent. Please share your pet ct report for further query.
