Hello,
it is not clear that whether you were taking medicine when the child was in utero, if the baby is born and is healthy then there is no problem. All antiepileptic drugs have a small chance of in utero damage but epilepsy itself can cause damage to the foetus so generally a low dose to control seizures is used during pregnancy.

Dear lybrate-user,

You have not mentioned the onset and no of seizures you had and when was the last seizure. Your medication will need to be modified accordingly. Taking 3 medicines not a good idea. Dear lybrate-user,
1. You are suffering from epilepsy which means two or more unprovoked seizures. At times seizures recur after a gap of 1-2 years and stopping medication. The seizures in your case are not due to a tumour and and it is not likely that you will have a tumour now after the onset 6 years back. Please be confident about not having atumour and take the medicines prescribed regularly.

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
The type of seizure depends on which part and how much of the brain is affected. The two main categories of epileptic seizures that exist are partial and generalized. Multiple types of seizures are in each category.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Hello, the temporal lobe disease affects the memory severely, but it appears that your father has had most likely herpes simplex encephalitis or auto immune encephalitis. It nis very early to predict how much memory loss he will finally have. The best approach will be to make sure that he comes out of the illness without much damage and later rehab can be started. Memory will be improving on its own once he is back in his familiar surroundings.
